Mixed bag, imo.

Sometimes they feel necessary, especially when you've been in relationship for a while and you're both in a rut.

I am guessing that if you don't ever go beyond the heart, it will work itself out to it's own conclusion.

I'll say having a crush is normal and simply needs to be kept in check.

Probably a good idea to try to reconnect with life partner and determine where you both are...

I'm with Ruby, a mild infatuation here and there along the way is just being human. As per Scooter, yeah if it goes beyond just being a 'fleeting flight of fancy', then it might be a different deal
