Throughout history civil wars appear to lead to dictatorships in many countries as a strongman rises to power to restore order @Breakfall. Ie Napolean in France. Stalin in the USSR. Hitler in Germany. Mao in China. And more recently Erdogan in Turkey. Thats why all this talk about Civil War in the US is so dangerous because it could lead to dictatorship or at very least a semi police state.
