I have top 6 more or less in crono-order this way:

Chuck Berry
Little Richard
Ray Davies (the Kinks)
Lennon/McCartney (Beatles)
New York Dolls
Ramones

I maybe should add Iggy Pop in there.

The question is...ones who created movements or were a movement in themselves.
Then it's Og e.o.s. when he discovered that by beating rocks with a stick, he liked the sound it made and that made him feel connected.

Chuck Berry was an absolute beast on the guitar. Made it look so easy.
