I asked my retired cop cousin about this, he says he never put a simple speeding ticket person on the ground in handcuffs, only a few with warrants, or under the influence. But a simple speeder, no way. Keep in mind this was a young man on his way into work, about a block from the stadium.

I am not sure why they pulled him over (four motorcycle cops were involved....four!), but I have read that he was driving over 100mph in a 55 zone....which is not a big deal in some circumstances, but can be very dangerous in other circumstances. So we will have to wait if there is more information to come on exactly why he was stopped.

So I watched a video that I will link to below. It shows some of the video with Tyreek Hill speeding. The speeding was not that big a deal...and the cops were not going to make it into a big deal...but Tyreek Hill is an absolute idiot and asshole and he made sure everything escalated.

Apparently, Tyreek Hill said that he could have handled it better on his end. In his head, he was trying to avoid being recognized by fans and or photographers and making a story. So, he rolled up his window.
However, the cops were wrong too. It isn't always cut and dried.
Cops don't have to be assholes about it either.

First example: Every time a cop tapped on his car window, it was pretty gently. Hill says shit like "Why were you pounding so hard on my window!??" He was on his phone with someone, probably his agent/handler, telling him "They were going crazy on my window!" or some bullshit like that as he was being detained. Only a few minutes after it happened.
And you people are going to believe that claim days after the "excuse" was fed to him by thousands of people.
That is not why they yanked him out of the car.
