We all have our preferences which is why I like games that offer options like that. For example, some people play all of their games using a keyboard. I suck using a keyboard for games because I've been gaming using consoles all my life.
Whereas I prefer the precision of a mouse. I rarely even use Fallout's "V.A.T.S." mechanic except to spot targets more easily -- then I disengage from that and aim manually from there.
