Every year has been touted as, "the year of the Linux desktop", but that hype just got a lot more heft behind it with this announcement.

1. Bazzite/Nobara: These are community-driven Linux distributions (based on Fedora) that package SteamOS components (like Game Mode) with optimized Nvidia drivers and settings, offering a near-native experience.

CachyOS is probably the closest you can get to SteamOS for PC right now. It's based on Arch (like SteamOS) while Bazzite and Nobara are based on Fedora Silverblue or Kenoite, respectively.
