A week into office and Trump presides over a major midair aircraft collision, but he did deport some workers so it’s all good

I have two issues with your post. One is whether or not a 64 passenger regional jet crash qualifies as major, and the other is whether or not "Trump Presiding over it" is an accurate statement in the first place. If you think about it, every single thing that occurs in the next 4 years on the face of the planet as well as in the universe around us happens under Trump's watch. To say he's "Presiding over" everything from a regional plane crash to, say, a meteor strike in Wyoming to a UFO siting over Brazil to someone stepping on a bug seems a bit superfulous.

TLDR, Is Trump King or nay?

War in Ukraine continues, gas is still a little high, eggs are at an all time high, and China appears to be taking over the technology industry, his campaign was laser focused on those things

Trump makes a lot of promises that he cannot or does not keep. Some through no fault of his own, others due to him simply talking big to get votes from the masses.

Given the flurry of activity during his first week he's certainly trying to get some of it done.

You have over 51,000 messages on this forum, many or most of which are responses to others. Yet a 5 line post is too long for you to read? I'm having trouble following the logic there.

I get it. But I'm compelled to try to look for reason and common sense. Even if it's impossible.
Think satire, think about how Trump world reacted to Biden the last 4 years.

@wizer, yes, a crash of a commercial airliner on a regularly scheduled flight with 64 people aboard all dead is indeed a major crash, AND, I am truly amazed that you don't get the "everything is Trump's fault" veiled revelation of hypocrisy, AND, I'm seriously stumped that you don't get the humor in the TLDR riposte. SMDH @ your thickness.

Days after Trumpco guts the FAA a rash of airplane disasters have gripped the nation, the good news Air Force One is an Airplane, and The SecDef is a failed manager and drunk, so think positive.

The reaction from Sullenberger, who safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River in 2009, saving the lives of all 155 people aboard, comes after Trump blamed

Hmmmmm. Maybe next time Trump gets into a helicopter there will be problems since training funds are probably being cut.

"At the time of the collision, the Black Hawk military helicopter was training to evacuate government officials in the case of a catastrophic event.

The pilots were training for a scenario when “something really bad happens in this area, and we need to move our senior leaders,” Jonathan Koziol, chief of staff for the Army’s aviation directorate, told reporters on Thursday.

That evacuation would be part of what Hegseth described as “a continuity of government mission.”

The FAA preliminary safety report found that staffing at the airport was “not normal for the time of day and volume of traffic”, the Associated Press reported. Staffing targets set by the FAA and the controllers’ union call for 30 air traffic controllers at the airport, but as of September 2023 it had 19.
