. A dual is an account used by a known poster designed to deceive other posters into believing it is a unique person. Usually altering style/presentation often as well as viewpoints, alleged local etc.
. An alt is an account/ID used by a known poster as an alternate...get it - alt, and not designed as a deception.
The account holder is known, the persona unchanged.
Example: Spoon, La Hire, Peaches. Same dude - everyone knows.
Other Examples: Holy Holliday !, Holliday, 18Holliday81 etc.
