Why? For banning LGBT propaganda aimed at children?
It's not propagandizing to write about people who exist in the world. Grow a brain, Aryana, please.
In any case, censorship is only one of many things they do that are objectionable. They are facists who are piling one human rights abuse on top of another.
True it's not propaganda to have children's books geared and about people who exist in the world. I agree with this. There are kids being raised in same sex marriage homes, and it helps for them to see stories with similar family structures.
I have no problem with that at all.
Its when it goes beyond just having a same sex family structure being in the story where it starts getting propagandish and outside the realm of age appropriate.
Notice how in children's books series, like Franklin or Bear, or the Beranstine(I'm so sorry I know I butchered that spelling) Bears series.....the traditional family structure is represented without BECOMING the story. It shows the mom and the dad, and child centered interactions with mom and dad from a child view in a child centered context.
And there is a whole scope of science behind how children's material is put together.
What you dont see in childrens material with a traditional family structure represented, is the story being ADULT centered. They do not go into mom and dads sexuality and begin an apologetic about the sexuality or sexual identity of adults. And it's way over kill and outside the realm of age appropriate when these stories turn that way.
Childhood and childhood entertainment should be centered on children. It doesn't need to go into adult concepts better understood after puberty. And some of this LGBT material goes even farther than sexuality into politics (see A is for Activist and other books like that).
A lot of this LGBT material goes well beyond child material into lessons on human sexuality for little children. And at some point this really crosses into grooming. I can show several examples.
All that's nessesary for children to see people that exist is a simple story with a same sex couple back grounding a child centered story.....in the same way you see traditional family in those child centered stories.
But it typically always turns into adult centered crash courses on human sexuality that most people....rightly. ...find inappropriate for little ones. It does take a turn into sex propaganda. Sexuality doesn't have to be in the story in order to expose children to different kinds of people/families that exist.
It's the sexuality being the material that people have a problem with.
