If you started feeling safer, it's because Ice just shot another American for liberty and justice for all. MAGA!

I rarely look at your fishing thread because I think fishing is stupid and sucks.
...and yet you mentioned that my day of fishing would be a good addition to your story thread.
Consistency...Do you speak it?

btw, I took a great deal of time and care in communicating a story with a message on that thread
and not one person commented on the finished piece.
I can't be bothered writing insightful and enlightening stories for people who are too stupid to find the value in them.

Yes, stupid. Because it's a story about you. Duh!

Yeah, well, don't assume that anyone ever reads everything you poast. I know there are some that read every poast I make, even the ones that suck, but I'm me. You're just not me, Holliday. You're from New Jersey after all.

Because it's a story about you. Duh!
When I wrote the below post in The Fishing Thread, it wasn't about me though....
...it was what, about the fish?

October...always one of my favorite months for Bassin.
. It's the end of the season and wonderful and blessed days are to be had.
Well today was a roller coaster, but due to recognizing a poor decision and following it up with a much better one, my day was one to remember.

Decided to go to a Largemouth lake since the conditions of the early day seemed like it might right.
.Got up way late morning, rushed but only got there just as the sun started to break through.
High wind again, lily pads still up, and shore weeds getting high. Tough shore fishing conditions but there I was, give it a go.
One Bass, 3 hits, one hookup which I didn't land in 90 minutes.
Fuck it - I admitted to screwing up and decided to try a River spot.
Went home changed footwear and gear, hit the river.
An inauspicious start, but then, I zero'd in on a location below a riffle and a favorite fall lure.
It was on:
In 2 hrs 10 minutes I landed 24 pretty smallies (4 more got off - good for them)
.Nice ones too. Much better sizes than the usual of summer.
21 on the Minnow 70
Still got a couple on top also, and a single catch on Ned head and 3" ned worm.

At this time of year, every day is a different game.
Tomorrow I will go back probably for the last time to the river (weather is changing rapidly)
..and I'll have to figure it all out anew.
That's why it's such a wonderful sport...you just never know.
