These come at a time when many Americans are hurting financially so theyll be hit with more hidden taxes.

Trump claims they will eventually pay for themselves but of course the ripple effect could take years to benefit American consumers.... if they ever do.

The tarrifs may not even work so he is gambling with your nation's future. Meanwhile many countries might decide to buy their products from other nations because American products may become too expensive.

Trump's art of the deal could cost Americans not save them any money. So fewer benefits higher tarrifs may translate into less money in American pockets.

I guess someone is gonna benefit. Maybe its the new external revenue service and Elon Musk because he and others will skim money off the top and put it into their pockets

The uber rich like Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, Buffet, etc don't care if it crashes...they'll start buying new stock/companies at cheap prices and then when stocks go back up they'll be wealthier than ever.

Even if higher tarrifs & budget cuts are Trump's goal I think he'll do it too fast & at the wrong time.

If American consumers are hurting seems a better approach would be to hold off on tarrifs and give middle class Americans immediate tax cuts so they will spend more to boost the domestic economy. And then tax corporations that are sending their jobs in China so it would force them to bring jobs back to the USA. Only provide tax cuts to the corporations and wealthy if they spend money at home to either create jobs or invest in local communities, schools, hospitals and infrastructure.

I think Trump is providing the wrong remedy at the wrong time. Especially when the US and world economies are so fragile @Lily
