They say the time it takes to get over someone is the amount of time the encounter lasted. That's mostly for real committed relationships that last a year or more.
This was like a fling that lasted weeks, and here we are two years later because this is sociopathy.
Narcissistic abuse has cycles. There is that love bombing limerace period where they try to create this magical mythical love story and they try to move WAY too fast. This is where you hear a bunch of lies, ex slamming, future faking, talk of living together/marriage, all peppered with randoms dramas where they get overly pissed about little things.
It's a PLEASE ASS BOX ME! period. They start trying to "train" and groom you for abuse. There is gaslighting and a lot of emotional manipulation.
Then once they have you they start devaluing. Then they discard.
If you notice the pattern and understand what's happening in that PLEASE ASS BOX ME! love bombing stage and you put an end to it firmly, that loss of control enrages them.
I saw the pattern early on and was kinda trying to figure out how to seperate from it with the least amount of drama. I HATE drama in my life. And I dont like my privacy violated. These are things he knows....so that's why it happened.
This entire shit show is about control. He is raging and angry because he wants control.
The aftermath when you've cut ties with a narc always involves a character smear campaign, recruiting others in the shared network to their "side" and attempting to ruin your life.
This is a one sided "war" with a rage filled abuser who is obsessed with "winning".
So like how normal people would just accept it didnt work out and move on respectfully and keep the internet out of it like healthy adults, he has to create this unhinged nasty drama that goes on until he feels he has "won".
He isnt playing the same game, shit he isnt even on the same feild as everyone else.
The people that allowed themselves to get involved and become what's called "flying monkeys" all have similar cluster b disordered thinking and they are repeating their histories on these forums. Like Casket, shes been doing shit like this for 15 years that we know of.
Even after I disengaged and was off the boards for a bit, these nutcases went and tried to look me up, and then started telling posters on BC that they found I was getting evicted. And these drooling sociopaths really thought this was some big moment to "own" me and that I would be humiliated and...I dunno leave? I wasnt even on at the time.
They dont understand that normal, nonsociopathic people would meet that with a few levels of concern. People with normal empathy were worried about my family being put on streets AND worried that this nutbag was cyber stalking me. They do not get it.
So it helps to be prepared when you are dealing with obsessive narcs who have fixated on you and have no grasp on appropriate boundaries. They give themselves all kinds of rationalizations for their unhinged actions.
If this were a "broken heart" it would have been over a long time ago, never having seen the forums. This is narcissistic sociopathy and stalking.
When you pull the number of people like this, they lose it and immediately work on discrediting you. So expect to see "Duuuuur dovey plays victim!!".....that whole detachment from reality thing. They will put a lot of energy into making the "truth teller" look crazy or manipulative....where normal people would walk away. It's all very textbook.
