We got locked out after a fun trip to SD and after walking for over 4 hours on a beach one night, we had to break into the side window of his suburban. Yes. And interesting memories also. And a few bad memories. One of the fun ones was taking car trips with our family and my grandparents and aunt and uncle and their two boys, and sometimes other cousins. We camped in many different states, near lakes, at the foot of mountains, etc, and had many fun times.

I'd go to the Roman Empire as well. Probably the parts of it that were in Portugal. They say that Portuguese is the living language that is closest to Latin. Maybe I'd understand them!

Well, of course one would think so. But some linguists are claiming that Portuguese is closest. The argument is that Portuguese didn't go through as many permutations as the other romance languages did. I never studied Latin or linguistics so I can't make an intelligent argument for or against this claim. I read it in an article somewhere. The more Portuguese I learn, the more I realize how similar it is to Italian. It seems closer to Italian than to Spanish, honestly. Just interesting to me.
