Next couple of days I'm going to launch the first edition of

Bastard Factory Radio

It's a project I've been doing on and off over the last 20 years or so with each board I've been frequenting.

It's a half hour to 45 minute radio show following various formats, Holidays, special events, shout outs and all things Radio.

If you'd like a shout out with your favorite song, just leave it in this thread. it will be included in this or a coming edition.

If you have suggestions for segments you'd like to hear, formats you'd like to hear, all your suggestions are welcome.

The output is via "Audacity" and it's an authentic radio show format. I'll be DJ'ing and announcing and the previous shows have all been met with people enjoying music for an hour. I want to do ads and promo for the show, but for the first one I just want to get it recorded and formatted.

One thing up front. There will be no "trolling" in this thread. it's all about the Show, and the Music.

Anything off topic will be removed.

So, if you have some input, any song you'd like to hear, any copy you want me to read, just post it in this thread and it'll be thoughtfully included.

I think you were around for my first TK permaban, where I got pissed off and started my own board called TrollKingdomRadio, or TKR...the banner of the front page looked like this:

It was a pretty cool success and I had about 100 members.

Thats the idea for this.

I just got a seamless add on for the main "Audacity" program...it's called "Soundly" and will give me all the sound effects to enhance the overall DJ experience.

It has voice renderings as a feature, so I can make my voice sound anyway I like and every bell and whistle for sound effects and backgrounds. The paid version (which I just purchased) has unlimited cloud storage, so that solves the hosting issue. It also looks like the add on will let me do "interviews" which may be an interesting feature.

I'm compiling the first show in a couple hours...my goal is to have it up later today or tomorrow...just working on the song list this morning.

I was thinking of a theme song jingle for your radio show, but I am Gurk and am legendary for my legendary laziness. But I did pick up my harp and roughed out an idea ... then I wandered off and did something else.

im writing the scripts and stripping the mp3's from the videos early in the morning tomorrow. I'll be taking requests til about 9am.

Well, you finally told the truth about something "Coach"

The show will be up tomorrow or Sunday. Have to work today and Saturday, and the voiceovers are time consuming. I neither have the patience or desire to spend that much time on this when I have to be in the office all day.

Song list is compiled. I am omitting three of the requests but the show is looking pretty good.

Should be fun.

The soundly add on is quite remarkable. The free version lets you have 25 "voice overs" a day. The paid version is unlimited plus cloud storage so Im probably going to sign up for a month to check it out.

The voice over feature lets you script everything, as in I could do all the "announcements" and chat between songs, and then splice them into the program where I want. 275 different voices as well.

The best part is I'll be able to say what I want about posters here, and anyone who listens to the show will hear it.

This one is going to be a very interesting blend. Some of my favorite songs as well as a few of the requests.

This sidecar program (Soundly) is fucking amazing. I had to rethink the whole thing with the tools it has.
