That is one of my all time most hated songs. I can remember being a child and hearing this on KDES and cringing every time. HATED IT!
I made it through. At the end of the song, she sings "Maya, Maya, Maya," for her baby girl, Maya Rudolph. Riperton died when she was 31 and Maya was 7. Sad.
