Kringe! Bwa Hahahahahahahahaha! Yet another "tell all" book to cash in on Biden's failure and Trump's Victory.

She is kinda cute in a raggedy-anne lesbian kind of way.

Or maybe someone trying to talk some sense into American voters. The system is fucked.

I could almost respect one of these cretins if they "blow the whistle" WHEN IT MATTERS, not only when it's time to reform their image and make some cash by continuing to lie to everyone about everything. Anybody who believes this book isn't ultimately going to support the status quo is deluded.

I *might* read the book if someone gave it to me but no promises. It's actually more likely I'd let it lay around for a while (but not where anyone might see it and get the wrong idea) then give it back and say I just don't have time for another book right now.

If hell was real there'd be a special place in it for people who monetize whingeing about something they personally had a hand in perpetrating.

I can't argue with that. The system is fucked up.

I blame Democrats, of course.

But you gotta admit, Miss Kringe coming out with a tell-all - which we both know she didn't write - is kind of self -serving. This poor girl has little hope for a future in politics.

And registering as an Independent is no brave thing. I did that back in the 1980s.

I don't give two shits about whether I can respect her or not. We just need more people abandoning the 2-party system -- to the point where something has to change.

I said this earlier today in G47's thread.

There should be a massive campaign to move a significantly bigger portion of the electorate to register as independents.

A bloodless revolution...it will scare the ever living shit out the 2 parties.

We’re getting closer to that already people not registered D or R outnumber either of them

I maintain it’s the campaign money distribution that gums up the evolution.

Maybe it will take candidate without a scary affiliation like Green or Socialist needs to emerge to break the tradition

Look beyond Trump and Musk's public blowout to the bigger problem: the infiltration of Big Money in our politics. It has corrupted our democracy — creating a vicious cycle that funnels wealth and power to those at the top while drowning out the needs of regular Americans.

RR

I agree with Robert Reich I think the vast sums of money in elections is a far bigger issue than only having two dominant parties.

I think both things matter. One of the things that made all this big money issue so ingrained was the solidification of the 2-party system. All the money serves to drive out alternatives to the two parties. Many of the biggest donors give to both parties. It's a truly evil construct.

And this is not news, everyone has known it’s been a growing issue and I think both parties have campaigned on campaign cash reform at various times over the years, and some not very effective reforms have been done. But nothing meaningful has been yet because every politician is crazy about the campaign cash! Trump being the most openly mercenary flamboyantly cash grabbing “politician” in the history of the world!

Even he never gave $288 million to one politician.
Yeah, all he did was fund the election of a network of attorneys who, in turn, enabled the recidivism of violent criminals, who went on to further victimize innocent people.

He was only trying to weaken the U.S., so NBD. Totally fine.

You should be embarrassed to even mention Soros in that context.

And that doesn't begin to address the Adelsons, the Kochs, etc.
The casual reader should refer to this article regarding Soros

George Soros’ backed nonprofit invested at least $140 million into politically charged
nonprofits just one year before the midterm elections.
Those donations are on top of the more than $170 million Soros personally contributed
during the 2022 midterm election cycle to help Democratic campaigns and political action
committees.
The Soros nonprofit separately donated approximately $60 million to charitable 501(c)(3)s
which are prohibited from participating in politics.
