I'm in the Black but just barely

I made some poor decisions overinvesting in Gold mining stocks which have mostly gone down.

I decided to put money into safe, stable dividend stocks and ETFs Prowler. Banks utiities staples food

Stuff that people actually need in good time or bad

At least if the market goes down in the future, they won't get hammered as much and will continue paying dividends

It briefly had its time last year, but now is not its time to shine.

Markets are getting skittish and stuff like that brown syrupy drink called Coca Cola is outperforming Gold atm

Gold might go back up again but probably won't be for another year or 2 at least

I'm at about $120,000 in the TFSA Prowler

I used to be at around $140,000 but the bottom fell out of the Gold market and mining stocks after that Iran Wart started

A lot of people got hit harder than me

My only saving grace was inestments in Canadian banks, utilities staples and safe etfs

So Im divesting away from gold and mining stocks atm

I learned a lesson - that mining stocks not just gold are highly dependent on the price of oil

Even copper got hit and its supposed to be an essential. Have some of those and they are flat too

You haven't given any investing tips but prefer to keep all your picks to yourself.

I started this investing game only recently so that's why Im not very high

BTW what stocks would your recommend?

I'll gladly list the ones I'm invested in or about to.

There'll be a lotta market turbulence in 2027 I figger

As I stated, I'm going for the safer stuff

I think at some point we're headed for downturn or stagnation at best

Probably next year so I decided to go to safer ground.
