They gave me this jacket as a "Thank You!" for being such a good person.

Seriously @Flynn if you have ever volunteered or worked with sick/medically handicapped children as I have, you and perhaps @The Prowler would realize just how lucky you are. Unlike the Prowler & alt Right types in this forum I don't look down upon the poor or disadvantaged because I've seen it & for the relatively brief time I spent with or taking care of them I could feel their pain. It was a somewhat depressing glimpse into another world people often choose to ignore but maybe the man upstairs did that to teach me a lesson about having compassion for others. I never forgot that lesson either.

Yeah this affected me because from that experience I realize how lucky I am.

Or fortunate because I'm not one of the parents who has to live with or deal with it on a daily basis.

There is a guy in my neighbourhood like that. He has a powered wheelchair and goes up and down the sidewalk. I say "Hi" and he kinda grunts. I think he like my Corvette because he kinda moves around and grunts louder when he sees it.

If that were true, I would not have cut back my working hours by the age of 40 and steadily decreased them until I was only working about 8 hours a week by the age of 40. Obviously wealth was never a significant motivating factor for me.

We dont have homeless people where I live (they're all housed using our tax dollars) but a week ago last Sunday my band did a benefit for the local area cancer network and we raised a little over 1700 dollars for that cause.
