It’s very sad, he was such a macho gorilla
I remember being like 10 and being mesmerized by this guys chest thumping run to the glass.
When my kids were born so was an annual visit or two for the next 17 years to see Charles and his offspring who looked so goofy as adolescents LOL

I think he was the one who charged at me and a few other people one time...it was around 2005. He stopped just at the fence. He was clowning around (I think).

For a second, I had a genuine feeling of panic.

He was something, it was so strange watching him, Id stay for 1-3 hours at the enclosure when we’d go all those years, him and his two ladies LOL the fucker has like 4 or 5 kids there.. you’d look in his eyes and it was bizarre
He was a proud ambassador of his species
I can’t help but wonder how heavy the loss on his family feels. Any way prowler as you can tell the fucker fascinated me thanks for listening
