Of course they could, but they are so far entrenched in that 39 square miles of Florida that they developed with a clear understanding agreed to with the State of Florida. Until the current "GOP" of Florida got hurt feels when Disney Corporate stated an OPINON (ONE A, SHIT YA STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS)

That is almost financially impossible for them to pull out, unless of course a deep pocketed off shore entity, like MBS, or Chairman Xi, was willing to buy Disney out of Floriduh.

It's seems rather extreme to slap taxes on such a large employer in their state like that.

Surely he could have found a compromise.

I don't think the governor handled this situation very well.

Money talks Yknow.

You mean you think its extreme to remove their tax loopholes?

You dont think its extreme for a corp like Disney to basically threaten to buy the government and force their will on people? That they came out swinging against families in their own state and vowed to fight to repeal that Parents rights in education bill while they spread the misinfo about it being a "dont say gay" bill?

Nah. A LOT of people find the response fitting.

Disney has no place over riding the will of the people regarding the material their children are exposed to in fucking kindergarten.

What "compromise"? You think Disney should have been able to influence and "compromise" legislation?

Where did I say they werd evading taxes? I said theyve gotten certain specail priviledges for years and loopholes regarding taxes.

And now leftists everywhere are pissed because a wealthy corp isnt getting tax breaks now and that they are not being permitted to influence the states government over the will of the people.

He handled it just fine. It's about time someone has the balls to say what the majority of his state thinks and is willing to tow the line.

People don't like him, tough shit... Cause he's coming barreling down the road, with no apologies for standing up for the people. Which is who he was elected by, to stand up for, to begin with.
Amen for that, someone has to do it and he is...

While Canada certainly would not be Desirable place for Disney we are getting other American corporations setting up shop here - due in large part to the fragile social climate in the US.

I know Amazon, Microsoft & some Hollywood Studios set up shop in Vancouver during the Trump & Bush years for that reason.

Walt is rolling over in his grave seeing what his dream has become. He would back the governor, no doubt.

Yep. Just like the Founding fathers would have freaked the fuk out about trannies being afforded special rights and anti discrimination laws.
