I've never used it. Would rather interact with the cashier anyway.
I don't use them, either. I don't want people to lose their jobs. They are trying to push them here. A lot of young people use them, but most people here will stand for a long time in the cashier's line rather than use the machines.

That is archaic thinking.

There are many situations where technology can be utilized to replace human workers that will result in greater efficiencies and will be overall beneficial.

Is this one of those situations? That is debatable.

But the opinion that "It is bad for people to lose their jobs." is (and probably always has been) flawed. It is thought and said without an understanding of The Big Picture.
