...so it doesn't happen to their citizens.

This could conceivably become a political issue in other countries, such as Canada where the governing party is up for re-election.

But I'm sure Canada wouldn't be the only one.

Europe might enact legislation to strengthen privacy laws in their countries too. France, Germany, the UK, Scandinavia.

"Is it Elon-proofed? My goodness I sure hope so. We wouldn't our citizens to have their personal liberties compromised like Elon Musk has done to Americans in the United States! After all, he's a foreigner born in South Africa."
