Conservatives are yellow-bellied sapsuckers. That is all.

...this wouldn't be allowed in most Western Democracies.

States making up their own election laws for a FEDERAL election.

Most of America's fellow Democracies have just 1 set of laws & procedures which govern Federal elections.

There is no such thing as a state writing up its own rules.

Otherwise, they should be conducting a separate state election altogether.

How can state law overrules federal laws?

It seems illogical and backwards.

It's the US government which should determine what the rules are and will be not individual states.

Honestly, it all seems very good and fills the much needed improvements for election security. Dems continue to lie and whine but none of theor lies make the slightest bit of sense. It is "racist" to show an I.D.? DEMs always reveal their racism when they claim minorities supposedly are unable to do simple things everyone can do.

It is called delegation of powers and some powers are reserved for the states. It makes perfect sense if you understand the constitution and how it was set up.

I suppose technically you are correct. If that's what your constitution says, then it's the Law.

Seems outdated and unworkable within the context of a Federation tho.
