See i did watch that in the other thread. It unlocked a core memory of laying in the back of my Uncle John's firebird because i was car sick and we were coming home from a fishing trip. Lake MI, I believe.

The seats smelled like that musty old car smell mixed with cigarettes and a hint of fish smell (we had a bucket of fish).

I had no idea who even sang this lol.

Cool memory. Reading it made me think of long car trips as a kid. We kids, my older brother and sister, used to fight about who got to lie in the back window of my dad's 1963 Ford Thunderbird. (We were tiny little kids.) My mom would time how long one of us got to ride in the back window and we had to take turns.

My grandmother named all her cars after Peanuts characters. She called her brown Labaren "Lucy" and everyday on the way to school id be car sick in the back seat while she smoked those goddamn Eve menthol 120s LOL.

My grandparents bought a new (first and only time in their lives) stretched 70's Plymouth and named it Large Lucy.... It was a pale brown with a cream coloured fabric top. That was their midlife crises after raising 7 kids on blue collar wages.
