Accidentally dying isn't exclusively dumb. Only the method of death is dumb. Never was a fan of bungee jumping or skydiving.

Now, with the following, consider that
1) not only did someone think of setting these things up
which meant that took some time during which they might have come to their senses and reconsidered.
....and
2) they convince someone to use the contraptions as intended.
So if they are "accidents", then they were accidents waiting to inevitably happen

That was around 2004 or so. I tried reading them, but those spiraled speech bubbles gave me a bit of a headache

Good deal! I had a boxful of Furry Freak Brothers that I toted around the country for years. They were in decent shape. I didn't put them in plastic sleeves or anything. I think I got $40 or 50 bucks for them at a flea market.
