You know after I got off the forum last night I talked to my partner about whether "colonists/settlers/conquerors" could be considered "illegal immigrants" from a legal perspective.

He looked at me, started chuckling and asked "You're kidding, right?" I said, well kind of and laid out the arguments I laid out here.

He said, yes, pretty much. There was no legal system at the time. There were no immigration laws, etc.

I think I'll believe a licensed attorney over a dubious "female" troll online.
