Post Diversity Project Volume 1, Thread 1.
.. Man, I'm laying in bed late last night, Giants were getting murdered so bad I actually turned it off, and start watching X-Files which turns out to be the last 2 episodes of season 9....anyway, I've gotten in the habit this year of leaving the front door open w/o the screen door in because for whatever reason it hasn't been a bad year for insects - an occasional hornet or yellowjacket will venture in but are easily escorted out. Neighbor's cats like to stop in to visit occasionally, that sort of thing, nothing much more than that. But fuckall if last night a housefly didn't come in and make a pest of itself. So my reflexes aren't bad, sure I've slowed down a bit but I figure I can time this thing, swat it with my hand and be rid of it.....easier said than done. SLAP, pretty sure I got it, nope must have just missed. Again, barely escapes. On the sheets now - I know I got it, didn't see it fly off, but where is it.
..I'm pretty sure they can always time it to appear a close contest, when in reality ya never have a chance - okay, maybe occasionally you get one. About a half hour of this and I go to the kitchen and get the witch's broom. First swat and my adversary falls mortally wounded - just in time for me to catch the Jillian Anderson nude scene.
Another thing this year - Fruit flies which are usually horrible through the summer have been completely absent. What could it be?....
