English, and my Spanish is functional

English, rusty Spanish, and American Sign language but that's pretty basic these days from disuse.

I only speak English.

I tried learning French but it was too difficult.

I think if a person really wants to learn French, they should start off with

1) Spanish
2) then Italian
3) then French
4) and if they get real ambitious, try Portuguese.

I think that is the approximate level of difficulty for learning another Latin language for an English speaker.

If I take another stab at learning another language, it'll be Spanish this time.

...tho I think this rating system is inaccurate.

French is significantly more difficult and harder to learn than Spanish.

Probably takes at least double or triple the time to learn French than Spanish.

I speak some Engrish, barely enough German to recognize a word here and there in a German Movie, and I used have a very small grasp of Spanish, mainly from hanging around some Spanish speakers, enough for very basic convo "where the fuck you at pendejo" etc

I can understand Spanish if its spoken slowly but I dont speak it. At least not well.

My grandma used to try to teach me Latin and Gealic.

My oldest daughter taught herself Japanese and some Korean. My middle taught herself Korean. No clue how they got that talented ......certainly didnt get it from me!

I did take 3 years of French.....but I cannot speak it. It was very basic high school French classes so I forgot it immediately after graduating.
