I know and have worked with quite a number of people who had lived in eastern Europe under Soviet rule over the years.
.Yesterday I attended a party at which one of the older guys, having immigrated for an eastern bloc country, who now resides often in FLA, and just happens to live only a short distance from the collapse high-rise, educated me into the factual details of the case. I mentioned it, I forget in what context, and he went on at some length to explain how the building, had it collapsed due to structural problems would have (according to an architect friend of his) toppled to the left, right , back or front. but not straight down like a controlled demolition - like the Trade Towers in fact. And how could it be that the 3 neighboring buildings, which were older (could this even be a critical clue) not have fallen also? Did you know that important persons from several other countries reside there? Who might have wanted then dead?
....and - now that this happened, owners will be compliant with fixing structural defects right away w/o delay. One must follow the money on that one.
...and I thought to myself - how like the modern trumptard with their crazy conspiracy theories and inherent distrust these people who lived under Soviet domination are. I've known ones to keep dossiers on coworkers and others who will tell you straight that they trust no one. They have all been permanently scared by their experience. Even the younger ones have adopted this mindset. I mean - from the central hypothesis of critical race theory one can understand this since their lives were always under thread from the government who was always watching. Was your own spouse, child or brother a government informant?
.But - What accounts for the trumptardian's. Could it be the Civil War which still haunts the conservative psyche? The systematic undermining of their status as rulers of the universe?
