Factually speaking it probably would be better. In so far as the extreme left (who makes up a plurality but not a majority of our state legislature) would then be checked in their worst abuses and might have to moderate some of their most extreme stances if they didn’t want to get their never ending avalanche of well meaning but economically extremely destructive legislation checked. Even gridlock would be better than a constantly sinking ship. Sure, we’re just talking about a capsized ship floundering along in the current but at least it hasn’t completely sank. This is, sadly, what is considered a glass half full in this state.

BTW I was incorrect. I previously stated my property taxes went up by $476 in the last year when in fact it went up $476 x 2 or almost $1000. Double all those difference numbers. That is in addition to all the other tax increases year after year after year which never stops. Then there are the “fees” from the DMV, Publicly owned water utilities, and the like. Our water rates in San Diego are now the most expensive in the entire country; they urged us to conserve water because of possible shortages then turned around and said because people conserved so much they can’t pay their bills and then doubled water rates again. Fuck them, fuck their massively inflated bloat which drives up costs, fuck their $300,000 per year public employee pensions for life, and fuck their “everything must be charged at union prevailing wage where the minimum wage is $30”. Fuck them right up the ass and I feel that every time I get a $300 monthly water bill for my rather modest suburban home which is vastly over priced (~$800,000 for a 3 bedroom/2 bath with 2,400 sq ft and a three car gargage).

I should move to Tennessee and buy a mansion free and clear at half the cost and way less taxes each year.
