Cute but I’d never own any animal. They’re all 2 dirty and I think I have allergy dunno.
I’ll just go 2 the zoo
I have allergies and I love animals. I just go ahead and die a little everyday.
And yes I clean CONSTANTLY. The upkeep we go through is a lot. It's worth it if you enjoy pets. If you dont.....yeah you would hate it.
I cannot stand smelling ANY of the animals. If our G Pigs so much as fart I smell it.
I'm in and out a lot between hanging out inside and hanging out on the deck....so when they get yuck I smell it. I'm never nose blind. I scoop litter boxes at least 5 times a day. Its work for sure. I adore cats but I hate "cat smell". Nothing is worse than cat shit and cat piss. I use a combo of pricey litter which is kind of a ridiculous expense between the litter, cat food(dry and wet and sometimes raw...I'm working towards a full transition to a raw diet for them), G Piggy pellets and hay(now for the rabbit as well) and lot of fresh produce.(between us and the pigs and bunny). Then the chew toys and treats and stuff for "enrichment". And the constant brushing the cats every week, trimming nails on everything, and this bunny has to be brushed every week or it will get "fur block". When it molts it will need to brushed 3 times a week.
I dont even want to admit what I spend a month just taking care of these animals. We find it worth it though. We all share animal chores but it falls in me to make sure. It's really good for the kids to teach empathy and responsibility.
The bunny is to give my 4 year old an animal to enjoy and care for that she can think of as "hers". So shes excited to learn how to take care of it.(under our close supervision and guidance, of course. Her attention span is shit and bunny bites are apparently pretty nasty).
We have a whole chart JUST for animal chores.
