The neg wars were epic at SG. Remember when they actually broke the site, since total negs received were displayed next to a persons avatar, when someone actually managed to get over a million negs it began to warp the image and flea had to update the software to fix it.

Then you could manipulate them so that one day a bunch of people suddenly had 666 negs and then Freud went from over 9,000 negs to 5,000 begs and conspiracy theories started developing about the admins wiping or adding negs to people.

Since BF emoties does not work like that it is pointless to spam negs unless you just wanna increase your clicking skills or something. You can imagine if they had Reddit's downvote system here, they chaos that would cause.

I've never paid attention to Ratings so while some of that SG stuff sounds vaguely familiar I don't recall it specifically and I've never been a Reddit user, either, so I know exactly fuckall about their Rep system. Unless it's about WebTV or Usenet maybe you should stick to reminiscing with the cool kids and leave my perma-newb arse out of it.
