It can be really frustrating when you are trying to talk to someone about important topics and all they do is twist and project.
I literally never.....ever boasted on my own intelligence or claimed to be traditionally educated or have I ever called upon any qualifications I imagine I have that make me more correct than anyone else. Never have I done this.
But for some reason, these people legit accuse me of that and try to tell me I'm "not as smart" as I think I am.
So I guess I'm supposed to just be like "okay. Well Admin told me I wasnt smart. So, I guess I'm wrong and dumb because they said so". They wont provide a rational point as to why I should accept my lack of of intelligence and agree that I'm just wrong. They wont provide any arguments or reasons why I should see something their way.
It's always personal attacks, accusations and assumptions that are not true.
And who said I "rely" on podcast? That's not how any of this works. If someone is getting information from ANYTHING, you need to understand what is being said, what the context is. And then you verify it. And podcasts are typically just opinion based convos.
All this hate coming from these people who literally do not even know how to discern info because they think every source that exists is telling people facts and any source that lines up with their political stance is gospel truth and solid facts and anything that counters that is "fringe".
So they are not criticize the information itself. They accept and reject info based on who is providing it. Not on it's own merit.
And then they accuse others of doing the things only they are doing. They are the ones who rely on media(and corporate media at that. They think only corporate media has the truth...for reasons, and they dont even question it) and any info that contradicts it is conspiracy theory, fringe stuff.
You cant even talk to people who think they are smarter than everyone else, who never actually argue for their stance, who go right to personal attacks rather than addressing any points made and who refuse to even look at anything that isnt one of their approved corporate media sources.
We could get bombed and if MSNBC and the rest that all the say the same report it wasnt a bomb, that no bomb was dropped.....these people would call everyone saying a bomb was dropped "fringe conspiracy theorists". Even if it was people who were there and even with pictures of the blast and aftermath....they would deny it because their media sources are telling them that everyone who thinks a bomb was dropped are terrorists and right wing extremists.
I guess they never studied history at all to see how many times in human history since the media started running, that media lying and spreading propaganda about the government and politcs is something that actually happens. That they are being lied to and have enslaved themselves to narratives that foster hatred and destruction and go after our rights. And their all or nothing thinking. If you say the corporate media is distorting truth and spreading propaganda to influence the public's voting....to benefit one "side", they will come with a link of an actual truthful report that doesnt have to do with politics and say "oh so is this a lie?....I thought the corporate media lied!".
Like yeah....they distort and lie regarding politics because that's where they want to influence people. And propaganda is always peppered with truths to trick people. All lies involve bits of truth all convoluted.
When you have an article that is given upon the premise that white supremacists are a problem in the country.....the whole article will reinforce that premise. Even though the people they are talking about are not white supremacists, and that white supremacists are not even a thing anymore. It's like this with pretty much everything politcal. They are an establishment mouth piece and even as they work to manufacture consent for another establishment war.....their followers will hang on every word and agree with it.
You would think that the constant divisive rhetoric used would be a red flag. But I guess since they already have spent years hating politcal opposition and viewing opposition as the enemy, they are happy to accept hateful lies and distortions.
They dont pay attention to anything until the media pushes it and theyll agree with whatever media tells them. Its flat out Orwell, Ministry of Truth shit. Theyve been effectively turned on their own neighbors and align against them with those in power who want more power.
