My guess would be a tone deaf as only the Dems can be losing if middle America again by not addressing the DSA;s going rogue, flat out communism, rhetoric in their midst. The October heat is on and the new wave if RNC ads, as I surmised it would be, is pushing the “Dems are Commies” playlist in heavy rotation.
The Dems aren’t any such thing, BUT the DSA living under their tent is. Before you object Dems, read their public offerings, including their online mission statement. It’s “seize the means of production” Marxist. Not “Democratic Socialism”; universal health care, Social Security, etc. Flat out proletariat, Karl Marx, the state runs everything in the name of the working class, Communism.
The DNC bylaws clearly gives the Party the right to insist that a platform that divergent from the Reg. Org. Party line gives the DNC the opportunity to insist they setup shop outside the Democratic Party, like say The Communist Party of America where it belongs.
Their not doing so allows the Pubs to smear them with the DSA;s DNA, and rightfully so since they let them run with their Party’s brand attached to them. You do that, you own them and what they make public offerings.
