That sounds about right. Instead of gratitude when you finally say no more they act like you don't have the right to just stop and now what are they supposed to do?
Right. And I really dont get how entitled people can be with absolutely ZERO shame. One of those people i agreed to drive around was a very young woman...probably 23. She had a rough go in life. She was on her own trying to build a life post addiction. I felt for the girl because she really had no one. Piece of shit mom and a dad she never met. Siblings all fucked up. I FELT for her.
And she found some job and couldn't get there and asked me if id help her. I was about 7 months pregnant and I just taken leave of my own job. I had a high risk pregnancy and I had kidney stones. I agreed to drive her in the mornings as long as she showed up in time because I was also driving my kids to school out of district. So I agreed to drive her
She was warned that if I end up in the hospital I won't be able to drive her and she agreed. Well one night I ended up in the hospital and was admitted. I tried getting ahold of the girl. Left a few messages and text messages and FB messenger messages. I stressed this shit. While i was hospitalized i was stressing THIS GIRL.
And wouldn't you know, this asshole was fucking mad about it. Didn't even ask if i was okay. Just immediately into how shes so screwed .....like....honey, you have GOT to take responsibility for yourself. People can HELP. But you cant throw that on other people who have their OWN lives.
I cant imagine depending fully on some pregnant woman who has kids and complications. But needless to say I never drove this ungrateful brat again.
I did it for free too. Never even asked the girl for gas money or anything. My oldest daughter hated her lol. I drove this woman for a few months and I was closing in on my induction date so its on her for not finding another way.
