Oh I know I did, it was part of a rant. His output is tremendous and he has some classics. He'll be in the Hall of Fame and he deserves that.

But as a person and a bandleader he's not a nice guy, and the two are intertwined unfortunately.

If being a good person was synonymous with being a good artist... we'd have nothing. If even that.

Sometimes tourtured souls create better shit. The friction makes the knife sharper. Resistance makes the muscles grow. Happy go lucky is a lazy sauce gluttonous ingredient to nowheresville.
