See, what you don't understand about me is I wonder about literally everything, and I try to find as much evidence as I can on any given topic, look for patterns, and then draw my own conclusions. I am not arguing anything here other than I find it foolhardy to negate the possibility of UAPs. It's completely illogical.
People have been seeing unexplainable things in the . While it is easy to dismiss them as hallucinations or flights of fancy, it is much harder to ignore photographs and videos from reputable sources. This is exactly what the office of the director of national intelligence in the US released in 2021. Its report Preliminary Assessment: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena detailed that the US Department of Defense’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena task force was investigating 144 UAP reports made between 2004 and 2021, mostly by military personnel. It also released of some of these UAPs in action.
It was such material that helped persuade Stubbings to take the subject seriously. He interviewed people who believed they had seen something they could not explain, interested in identifying any underlying mental health needs, or common personality types among them. He found that all kinds of personality profiles see UAPs and many are left with unmet psychological needs.
“Initially I felt confident that the UAP issue could be explained by prosaic psychological and/or situational factors, but the more I looked into real cases the less sure I became,” says Stubbings.
“I started realising this is a very credible topic. If true, it’s a game-changer,” he says. “If it’s not true, it’s deeply concerning. How did we get to this point in society where we are thinking all this stuff is true, and we’re spending all this money looking into it?”

#METOO, and what I know having studied it all is that there is zero credible evidence that therre are Ayyyyyleeeein flying around in saucer ships. ZERO
.That does not mean there is no life anywhere else in the universe, even intelligent. It does not mean some transient life has never arrived here or taken root. It does mean that there is no evidence, or claim that there are intelligent earth plane beings visiting or cohabiting Earth which isn't total nonsense.

It IS a restricted airspace and there IS a minimum security federal prison at the compound. It's a problem they've been dealing with since drones started.

That's certainly one explanation for some "UAPs". There are other UAPs produced as biproducts of our own technology and associated with it. Many many of these "sightings" and vids are no more than reflected light from ground sources. Some, probably a lot, are known aircraft misinterpreted, and others less known experimental aircraft. Just recently, it was made public that China has an aircraft that can make 5000 mph. OMG! that's as fast as a UFO. How many years was it in development? Etc etc...you know.
And the most laughable "evidence" are from the people who misinterpret ancient religious texts.

One of the more interesting reported traits of these 'objects' is their implausibly high g-force maneuvers. Simple explanation would be that they're not objects at all but, rather, backscatter or similar imaging artifacts.

There is also a know phenomena in peculiar atmospheric conditions which makes objects on the ground appear to be floating off the surface of water, or in the clouds. Many things, but people "Want to Believe" - you can't stop them no matter how many times their evidence is debunked.

We don't know what we don't know. We can't assume if we ever do meet a "them" that's it's going to be like the Bizarro Jerry Seinfeld episode. 'they're just like us but different in an odd way'
I just rewatched Close Encounters the other night on TCM, maybe the visitors look like those creatures....we don't know. Or some of the star wars aliens....
