I actually saw this video a few days ago. It was a dumb place to put the one car garage because you have to drive across the law to get there. Also, only a one car garage? I also wonder if Portugal has a problem with clean property titles because I know in Spain that is a rampant problem.

I doubt that there would be any issues with titles, because Portugal is very, very picky about crossing their t's and dotting their i's on all legal documents, especially regarding purchase of houses and land, and renovation projects as well. I know several people who have bought houses, and they all had both realtors and lawyers involved in the closing process. I believe the independent real estate attorneys are required. I believe a certified translator is also required for those who do not have Portuguese as their first language. The process of signing took hours because they had to go over every detail of the contract in the presence of attorneys. You have to plan for a full day.

They got a nice house in the video. If it's anywhere near Lisbon, it was probably pretty pricey. I don't know why they would replace those wooden floors. SMH

Most houses in Portugal have two kitchens -- the house kitchen and the garden kitchen -- which is pretty cool.
