Facing one’s own mortality isn’t always easy to do.
We had a neighborhood get together last week, one of my neighbors who I’ve hung out with announced to me that he has cancer and since he’s well into his 70’s he’s just going to ride it out. I didn’t know how to respond my survival instincts were kicking in and I wanted to tell him about my friends and family that beat cancer, I didn’t though. I think I may go see him in the next few days and try to let him know I respect his decision, not sure I conveyed that idea to him.
