I thought DJT was going to fix everything.

Something in the US economy isn’t adding up, and it’s rattling the people charged with wrangling inflation and keeping the labor market intact.

US companies have

, hesitant to invest without knowing the full effects of President Donald Trump’s sweeping economic policies. The economy lost jobs in June and August, and the average pace of job gains for the three months ending in September was only around 62,000, according to the Labor Department.

Yet workers’ productivity, a key driver of economic output, remains high. And gross domestic product, which captures all the goods and services produced in the economy, has stayed robust.

That dichotomy of an expanding economy and a softening labor market presents a conundrum for policymakers at the Federal Reserve,

2026 is projected to be a difficult year for many especially the workng class & not just America @LotusBud

$2700 a month for health insurance? AND they have to pay co-pays and deductibles? Insane. INSANE. I am so glad I am not in the US anymore.

Yes. The cost of everything will go up, and remember, tens of thousands of people were fired in the beginning of 2025. The ripple effect from that will continue.

Lotus is a retard.

How many times do people have to read that before it sinks in?

Until major systemic changes are made, we should expect higher and higher unemployment. An excess of human labour is actually a good thing. We just need to figure out what to do with them.

It is too bad politicians are voted in by what is basically a Popularity Contest. If people like me (i.e. highly intelligent and capable of innovative thought) were in charge, things would be fuckin' awesome.

Governments should provide grants & education especially to young people so they can learn about self-employment & trades so they can start their own small businesses Lex @The Prowler

Since big companies no longer appear willing to employ as many people in the past of course there'll be fewer jobs so people have to become more self-sufficient.

And society cant become 1 big welfare state either with its this proposed guaranteed income scheme or itll go broke.

Wrong.

That is also wrong.

Food, shelter, entertainment, medicine, etc. All that could be provided. That is the beauty of efficiency.

But self-worth and self esteem...a sense of belonging....all of that would be lacking if you were not a contributing member of society. Just look at Alticus or The Question or in a mirror....

Yeah, dungheap, I fucked up the lenses in my eyes and partially fried my left optic nerve, in utero, because I wanted to be broke all the fuckin' time.

Congratulations, Clouseau, ya cracked the fuckin' case.
WAAAAAH, life dealt me a shit hand.
. People, who are all kind of handicapped work. You can see well enough and yer fingers work well enough to type. Even you, a total lazy loser, can find gainful employment.

This is the reality of a Guaranteed Income Lex @The Prowler :

Guaranteed poverty.

Look no further than Britain where sometimes 3 generations of a family live in the same house & everyone is on welfare & nobody has ever had a job in their lifetime.

Did it? If it did, then you know better than to shit on somebody else. If it didn't, then you literally have no idea what the fuck you're talking about and ought to stop talking about it.
Do you live with your parent(s) @The Question ?

Given the cost of living these days I don't see how you could make it on disability, welfare or benefits alone.
