In my State of Illinois, the taxpayer dollars per pupil spent is among the highest in the nation and our students are among the dumbest according to testing. So what's going on now is clearly not working. Don't equate Tax Dollars spent with quality of education. The one has nothing to do with the other.

My town puts up 13 mil to run its school system. It costs a fuckload more than that though.
