Masto wins in Nevada

Since the 2020 election democrats have controlled both the executive and legislative branches of government and they've predictably done fuckall with it. The only campaign promise Joe kept was the one he made to the donors: "Nothing will fundamentally change". The democrats always blame a never-ending sequence of rotating villains (Manchin, Sinema, the parliamentarian, etc.) for their inaction, failures, and 'compromises' that consistently favor the corporatist/imperialist position.

What should you expect to happen with our government now?
More of the same, of course.
Business as usual. "Nothing will fundamentally change".

Because we don't live in a democracy or a representative republic or whatever you want to call it. We have an oligarchy and electoralism merely functions as a distraction and an excuse ("we won the election therefore we have an implicit mandate to do all the horrible shit we promised we wouldn't do but everyone knows we're going to do anyway").

Neither half of the duopoly is going to improve things.
That's not why they're there.
Duopoly politicians are the fucking problem, not a solution.

It is an oligarchic duopoly, unfortunately. The only good thing about these elections is that there was no red wave. But the US needs to get rid of the duopoly.

Who are you, anyway, @Garraty_47 ? Do I know you under other IDs?

G47 is ol’ Vitty. He of the Fractals and Ren Fairs.

He’s a closet anarchist who wears a nihilist’s scrunchie.

He used to. Don’t rightly know if he still does, though. Beautiful work, too.

Yeah, I rarely frequented the same haunts he did. I think he was a fixture at Ceedub’s pad.
