"A Tennessee Democrat on Thursday called for Memphis to secede from the state after Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed a new congressional map that splits Tennessee's only majority-Black district into three parts.

Its predictable that certain parts of any state start giving consideration to secession. Counties in northwestern Wisconsin have grumbled about it. It always depends on which party is in power and which party is pissed off. Nothing new here.
