Yet you choose to live in a country that has a more generous social safety net than even the US does. What a coincidence.
I've always refused the social so called safety net here....to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars of accrued benefits over the years BECAUSE they take it from you first then demand you get your kids jabbed with a few dozen retarded shots if you want to be paid your promised family scheme reimbursements...or after promising universal healthcare in the 70's, promptly gutted their agreement in the early 90's and begun charging young people annual percentage point increases for every year WITHOUT private health insurance FOR LIFE, no matter how healthy you are.
Australia is a shithole...even worse than California, and while I'm too old to migrate away, I've made sure my kids have multiple passports so THEY can. My youngest is 13 and is already looking at the job markets in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and New Hampshire. They're not interested in non US places at this point.
Funny fact, their classmate said they liked Mexico and would live there one day, and my kid said, "are you on drugs?" then went into all the reasons why if you're not of money and gated communities, you're fucked.
