They spit on all these poor bastards when they came back anyway! Speaking of which, you might be old enough to remember, democRATs tried to rehabilitate their image 30 years ago by saying these spitting events and protests of returning soldiers were very few and unusual events. They'll surely lie about all their recent rioting in 20 years, mark my words. Anyway, I knew a vet who told me he was spit on when he returned to Springfields Capitol Airport in the early 70's. He said it was commonplace.
