I'm on beer 3 and a few hot sips of bourbon. Already had my main meal. Finished off the very last of the turkey for a nice sammie on some honey butter bread from a local bakery with some baby spinach leaves and a dollop of mayo. A nice sliced pear on the side, perfectly ripe, and just a few club crackers for crunch. No cheese today.

. Well, I was out for a much needed hike in the snow. I've packed on a good 3 lbs since the end of fishing season w/o any adjustment to diet and it has me feeling quite sluggish. Starting about now I have to get myself out the door after coffee and get up the hills or suffer the consequence of lethargy.

You live in fucking New Jersey. You ain't got no hills to get up into. That's like me saying I'm going mountain climbing here in Illinois. We do have some nice moraines and crags and such along the rivers edge of my great State, and we even have the rounded bones of some ancient mountains down south were the indigenes like old Spooney lived talk funny.
