Lot of talk about institutional capture by the left, on the right its humour and counter-culture. The most popular comedian on social media is Crowther, even if not right then far enough for calls to cancel like Dave Chappel.

Capitalism is a markets/monetary framework -not a political philosophy or social science- yet we've allowed it to infiltrate and toxify every aspect of our lives from the highest governmental operations all the way down to niche popular culture expressions. This has resulted in a neo-feudal civilization that must inevitably collapse in a very bad way.

The trajectory can't be altered because the vast majority of shaved apes shuffling around on this planet style themselves as potential lords and ladies instead of the peasant stock they are and always will be, no matter how many crumbs they succeed in snatching from the high table.

We're barely clever enough to continuously think of new and amusing ways to kill each other but nowhere near clever enough to think of any reasons not to do that.

We're doomed by our own hands.

It has nothing to do with whither people want to be upper class or not and everything to do with capitalism probably being the best and most productive way to organize a society economically. Yes, you have to regulate to some extent to prevent market distorting things like monopolies or cartels, which we do not do enough of, but to pretend there is any better system is probably false

This goes back to facts needing to Trump feelings
