I'm sure they are. But traditionally here in the US, the media wouldn't automatically agree to avoid hard questions.

I guess they understand that if they choose to veer off the agreed upon path they won't be invited back, which would affect the business of their news station.

Being a stand up reporter is bad for business.

In the past, news media was a business loss that was subsidized by other business interests.

News was reported for the public good. Those days are long gone.

The billionaires and/or conglomerates have bought up all the big newspapers and broadcasters to service their agenda.
