Murder is not a referendum issue.

20 years ago we had one of those about guns here in Brazoo, 80% chose to keep their guns

The left didn't care and disarmed us anyway.

The numbers of violent crimes, murders and groups of criminals taking whole cities hostages to commit bank heist skyrocketed after that.

The left doesn't give a shit about the people's opinions and even when their plans fail miserably, they never change their mind.

It's time the other side start acting the same way. Fuck respecting the opinions of these people.

And now they shriek to pack the court to further stop other people from having a say in anything they want.

They are authoritarians.

This is so true. It's like they all suffer the same sociopathy.

They dont even have the ability to have any truthful discussions and they all run on hate.

Same here man. They been taking down our beloved Southern monuments. Though in every county where the people got to actually vote on the issue, 80% wanted them to stay. Where they are taking them down, the people are not doing the deciding.

Oh, and crime has skyrocketed here, big time.

Hey man, we already have 2 threads on this.

Guess the more the better, to catch all those tears lol.

Oh, and your article says "Constitutional Right to abortion", please show me where in the Constitution is says abortion is a "right".
Slate has like 6 articles. They must've prewritten them lol...
This is not exactly shocking news, Since Reagan sold the GOP to Religious extremism in the 80's, they have been focusing on "culture war" wedge issues.
This is the end of a very long struggle.

For us this is the equivalent of you guys ratifying the ERA.

It's not the end, since 75% of Americans are pro-choice, and many people will be negatively impacted by this tyrannical ruling. It is not the end, unless Americans have decided they are okay with tyranny.

All that is going to happen is that individual states will decide for themselves, as the 10th amendment says should. Longer term? So sort of federal law will probably get passed next time Dems control Congress and the White House. Oh, lastly, around 80% of Americans want some restrictions on abortion after the first trimester so the numbers are far more nuanced than you seem to think.

It is high fucking time to pack the courts. This tyranny of the minority shit has got to stop if anyone is interested in maintaining a democracy.

And don't give me that horse shit about how "The US is not a democracy." Just fuck off, you fucking Nazis.
Moar tears. Lol

She really should put it in the liberal tears thread. Maybe she could do a meltdown video for us.

Oh, btw what are the abortion laws in Portugal again?

Leftists in California literally decriminalized killing children for a period of time after they are born. Yes, they really went that extreme.

I see even Lotus suddenly wants to destroy our Democracy just because the Court reaffirmed that it is NOT an agency of political social policy that she has always wished it was.

Poor Lotus.

All that education and she never ever realized that the Supreme Court isn't really the last word and the stopped buck because The People are in our Democracy.

Nazis were big fans of abortion, Joe.

Abortion is used to control and abuse women and a brutal disregard of human life. You are very set on supporting this and not very willing to budge on how you think of it.

Why is that?

And again this should have always been left in the hands of the state. Really it should be illegal on the basis of human rights.

If men want to be selfish, why cant they go get vasectomies?

Yes, as someone who always puts the liberty of the individual first, foremost and always, it is my opinion that any woman who finds herself pregnant is free to exercise her own liberty in the pursuit of her own happiness as regards any decision she makes about her own pregnancy. It is not my business if she chooses to terminate her pregnancy at any time for whatever reason.

Of course, this has nothing to do with the role and job of the high court nor with the fact that the Roe decision was an unconstitutional usurpation of authority the Supreme Court does not possess in the first place. SCOTUS cannot make Law from its bench, and that's what the Roe decision was and the issue should have been remanded back to the States where it belongs.

I kn ow you're Canadian and it is hard for you to understand, but sometimes the limitation of governmental authority is a good thing.

But at least we agree in principle that abortion ought to be legal and readily available if desired.

Yer pov is in stark contrast to the pro life lobby within the Republican party that wants to ban it altogether

75%???

Make a poall and prove it.

Yknow @deport_liberals what's wrong with the way this abortion issue was approached is there was no referendum.

Even Turkey had a referendum to make Erdogan President for life. Many people didn't like it it but at least there was a referendum

Our personal opinions coincide, yes. But the issue which so many of our Leftist Proggie friends cannot seem to grasp is that the high court is NOT a vehicle to effect social policy. That is the job of a Legislature.

If measured by the standard of judicial activism I'd say both Democrats and Republicans are guilty on this issue. Neither side has been impartial and have not interpreted the Constitution as it was originally intended.
