Should Large US Corporations be forced to compensate inmates for Prison Labor with Company Shares or Employment after release?

It's not about forgiveness; it's about recovery. You probably wouldn't want to take a recovered hardcore alcoholic up with a job as a bartender, either. Same reason why.

One point of a Pardon is so their criminal record is hidden and does not haunt them. If you are not allowing them to take certain jobs, then clearly their criminal record is not being hidden.

If an alcoholic thinks he can handle being a bartender, then that is his call. Freedom.

You talk about recovery, but you do not really believe people can recover. If you do not have enough faith in people to believe they can recover, then why ever issue a Pardon? Just let them keep their criminal record and let the employers decide whether or not they want to take a chance on the felon.

Even after recovery, a certain degree of risk management is still prudent.

Burdening the government with having to track a person's employment details after they are issued a Pardon would just make the Pardon an administrative nightmare and way too costly.

Like I said, just let them keep their criminal record and let the employers decide whether or not they want to take a chance on the felon. And only issue Pardons to felons that you actually trust to be free of their criminal past.

No. Not a trickle.

Every single American should be owners of public corporations. You have heard of the stock market...right?
And if a corporation profits from a prisoner's labor that nets millions/billions while paying them 12 cent an hour, the prisoner and certainly the state should be entitled to a % of them.

If I was the governor of the state, I'd want a share of those profits to fund state budgets, pay for programs, infrastructure or private public partnerships

Corporations shouldn't be able to make profits from prison labor nor keep that money.

It should go back to the state or for the benefit of the local communities.

These corporations are pocketing money from what is essentially Slave Labor.

Prisoners are given food, shelter, health care...television, a gym membership....

How much do you think all that costs, Senile @Joe?

Are you 100% sure that the State does not get any payment from the corporations, Senile @Joe?

If you understood The Big Picture, you would understand that the Protectionism policies of Trump will mean that

Helping American Corporations = Helping Americans
I love it when idiot Canadiens try to "lecture" Americans. The above post is a perfect example.
